Fulfilment and joy found in being of help and inspiration to others
December 2011
For the past two years at Comland we have been developing a navigation device for blind and visually impaired users. During 2012 our goal is to launch this product with the hope that the user will be able to get around with certainty and peace of mind.
We wish everyone the fulfilment and joy found in being of help and inspiration to others. HAPPY 2012!
Comland among 50 "magnificent" companies
November 2011
After the Credit Rating House I, in collaboration with Dun & Bradstreet, in 2008 presented the last rating awards and was – due to the crisis and other circumstances – unable to raise 50 companies with the highest credit standing, in 2011 finally chose 50 "magnificent" companies.
Comland was rnarked among companies with the highest ratings in 2010. The “magnificent” 50 companies, according to the rating houses I and Dun & Bradstreet generate twice the sales per employee than the average Slovenian company and have twice the coefficient of liquidity.

Knowledge and experience for the blind
November 2011
At Comland we believe that the company will be responsible enough only when its knowledge would have a positive impact on a quality of life of people in need.
In 2009 we began with the development of computer vision navigation aid for the blind and visually impaired. The navigation aid Comsight Computer Vision is based on computer vision technology and includes all other technologies needed.
The product is being developed in cooperation with the Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted of Slovenia. The first prototype version of the product will be launched by the end of this year.
Comland’s computer vision products were presented on two occasions this autumn. Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology has invited us to the Information Technology Park at the Festival for the third life period in Ljubljana, where we presented the use of empathic applications in the world of the elderly. Empathic applications based on computer vision technology can significantly help elderly and visually impaired to extend the active period in life.
Comsight computer vision solutions include:
devices that "see" and can advise the elderly user
observe the elderly user and adapt accordingly.
The organizing team of Weekend Media Festival, the largest media festival in the region, which took place in Rovinj, invited us to present the use of empathic applications in the media environment. Comsight provides a new form of audience analysis and audience response to media and provides a new form of media offering for IP televisions.
