The client’s reasons for the establishment of the STIP portal:

By establishing the Slovenian Tourist Information Portal – STIP, STO and the Ministry of the Economy (MG) wished to improve the quality, effectiveness and success of promoting Slovenian tourist offers.

Solution:

Using the Slovenian Tourist Information Portal, the client was able to offer visitors the most comprehensive presentation of Slovenian tourism online. The portal comprises multilingual (Slovenian, English, Italian, Russian, French, etc.) presentations of over a hundred service providers, accommodation, photographs from the new gallery, professional information for service providers in tourism, up-to-date offers and content, useful information and a number of attractive options for free time. A very efficient search engine, interactive map and tourist guide allow the visitor to “walk” around the country from a hotel on the lively Slovenian coast to a hotel on the Pannonian Plain. Visitors on the portal can also access digital presentations of advertising materials and order them. For the more demanding visitors, the portal offers a wide range of high quality shots of Slovenian tourist destinations and products.

Comland designed the portal and continues to maintain and upgrade it in accordance with the needs of the client and portal users. Upgrades include new and improved functionalities that contribute towards making the portal easier to use, easier to navigate and more efficient (e.g. module for electronic applications for STO events, integration of STIP and CRS (Central Reservation System), new central tool for the STO newsletter, etc.). These upgrades cover the user and the editorial parts of the portal. The portal supports the sharing of content on various social networks and through e-mail. The portal administrator can use a number of tools and review detailed statistics of visits, visitors, visited content, etc.
